The Annual International Paint for Peace Project was created in Florida by Ahna & Brent Scione. In July shortly after the tragic shooting at Pulse Night Club in Orlando. This hit home as Ahna is a part of the LGBTQ+ Community as well as a body painter who frequently painted at clubs in the area. While scrolling on social media Ahna kept seeing all the negativity and hate going on in the world and wanted to pause it all even just for a moment. She decided to see if artists would join her in flooding social media with art for one day. Her husband Brent believed in her dream and got to work on creating digital graphics to help promote the event. Together they organized and hosted the 1st International Body Paint for Peace Project. The event is now in its 7th year!
